In the streets and Main Plaza of Cochabamba, Bolivia, World Animal Day - 2012 was celebrated with marches and peaceful demonstrations throughout the streets, and a vigil in the Main Plaza.
The local news media were there and gave ample disclosure of the celebrations. This was a very important step in conscientizing the population to the issues of animal well-being.
