Description
As part of our outreach program, Animals Taiwan is delighted to announce a poster contest to celebrate the 2012 World Animal Day.
We will be inviting students ages 6 to 11 from participating schools in R.O.C. Taiwan to create and submit their posters that best express the theme “I am a stray and I want to be your pet”. All poster entries will be displayed during a special Art Exhibit on October 4th. The judges will be formed by selected board members of Animals Taiwan and other prestigious Taiwanese artists.
The posters can be in Crayons, pencils, water colour, tempra, acrylic, marker, pastels, coloured pencils or chalk but no computer generated art.
Entries are due by September 26th, 2012.
Theme: “I am a stray and I want to be your pet”
Some suggested topics are:
• No all pets look the same, but they can all be great companions.
• What makes a happy, healthy life for a pet?
• What makes a stray special?
Winners of the contest might win great prizes and receive special gifts from Animals Taiwan as well as certificate of participation while supporting the stray animals in Taiwan.
Children’s innocent and artistic talents always amazed us in many ways, so we are really looking forward to receiving the submissions and share with all of you!

Animals Taiwan was established in 2004 and is now a registered non-profit organization devoted to the rescue, recovery, care, training and adoption of seriously ill and injured stray dogs and cats in Taiwan. To date, we have helped over 500 animals, many of which were given little chance of survival upon initial veterinary assessment. Many of these animals also show signs of abuse, deliberate neglect, serious disease and injuries caused from traps and traffic accidents.
